Some Types of Garden Pots or Containers

Whether you are reusing old containers to use as potted plants or purchasing containers designed for this purpose in a garden center, the materials used for container gardening generally fall into seven broad types. You can visit to buy large and small pots for the garden.

There are some types of garden pots or containers that you can buy:

Plastic garden pots are the most common type of container for plants. Many plants are sold in plastic containers, but you can also purchase them separately when moving your houseplants. They are economical, easy to clean, and for the most part quite simple.

The resin case is made of a heavier plastic. Many are made with fantastic designs or use resin with added color and texture to imitate stone.

Pottery is made of porous red clay or terracotta. They are heavier, have drainage holes at the bottom, and are quite heavy. Clay pots are usually used for plants that like to dry out (think cacti).

Planters are decorative pots or containers. They are usually made of ceramic, but can also be made of metal or plastic.

Fabric Pots While growing in cloth pots may seem counterintuitive, plants seem to love them and there are always more on the market.

They are lightweight, extremely durable, and easy to drink, fold, and store at the end of the season. They are also available in various sizes.

Some of the prettiest containers are made of concrete. Colors and shapes can be elegant and nuanced. The only downside is their weight – they can be quite heavy.
